Review Mutual Connections Before Unfollowing

Planned workflow: Review accounts that you follow and that also follow you. This task changes your Following and does not remove people from your followers.

Can I review mutual connections before unfollowing?

The proposed rule selects people who currently follow you and whom you follow. It requires current, complete relationship evidence and protected-list checks. It is distinct from a non-follower rule and is not live in this build.

What this rule changes

This rule intentionally considers people who follow you and whom you also follow. It differs from Non-followers and should be chosen only when that is the desired outcome.

Verify both relationships

Both the current Following relationship and a positive follow-back relationship must be confirmed. One relationship alone cannot establish a mutual connection.

Preview and protect exceptions

Review names and whitelist exceptions carefully before confirmation. Selecting a mutual connection is a deliberate unfollow decision, not a growth recommendation.

Track local results

Keep the task’s Unfollow outcome distinct from earlier Follow evidence. This product does not claim to track every later follower change on the account.
