Understand Requested, Following, and Unknown Results

Planned workflow: Learn the difference between an accepted follow action, a pending private-account request, and an unknown result. Read task status without guessing.

Does a sent Follow request mean the account is now Following?

No. Requested, confirmed Following and Unknown are different outcomes. Sending an action does not prove the final relationship. An unknown write retains its execution record and must not be automatically resent.

When a private-account request is pending

A private-account follow request may await the recipient’s approval. Request acknowledgement and an established following relationship are different states and require distinct evidence.

What confirmed action means

Confirmed means the tool received evidence for the particular action result it records. It does not promise that a person accepted a request or followed back.

Why an unknown result needs checking

A lost response leaves uncertainty about whether the action happened. Check the relationship rather than treating the attempt as a safely repeatable failure.

How local memory records status

Only attributable confirmed Follow evidence belongs in tool-followed memory. Observing an already-following relationship later must not falsely claim this installation created it.
